Study on eating and core beliefs

Background

Amaani Hatoum is a Doctoral Researcher currently completing a PhD thesis at the University of Sydney, under the supervision of Associate Professor Maree Abbott, Dr Amy Burton and Professor Stephen Touyz.

Current study

We are currently recruiting for a study that aims to validate a theoretical model outlining the way people’s core beliefs about themselves influence the development and maintenance of disordered eating behaviours. We are seeking to validate this model in a sample of international individuals who have a current eating disorder diagnosis. This study is anonymous and involves filling out a series of questionnaires online and will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Participants will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win one of four VISA gift cards. Participants must be over 18 years of age and fluent in English (based in an English speaking country) to participate.
