We are shining a light on eating disorders in boys, men and those who identify as male, as well as families, carers, siblings and partners.

Monday 27th February
Registration is now open for our first webinar of Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2023 ‘Learning from the diversity of family experiences’ with Harriet Parsons (Training and Development Manager at Bodywhys) and Dr. Colman Noctor (Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist). We will launch our new animation, exploring Niamh’s experience when her brother Rory develops an eating disorder and talk through the themes that are brought up in the animation. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session and next steps in terms of support.

Tuesday 28th February
Our next webinar as part of Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2023 is ‘Body Image: A Male Perspective’. This webinar, hosted by our Youth Development Manager – Fiona Flynn, will be a discussion about unique experiences with eating disorders and body image in boys and men from different backgrounds. We will hear from Barry Hennessy- Limerick Hurler, Conor Nolan – Author and Maeve O’Keeffe – Bodywhys Youth Panel Representative. Register here.
