Researcher at University of Roehampton, London, Angela Matwasa, is carrying out a study titled ‘An exploration of clinicians’ experience of working online with young people and their families using the Maudsley Family-Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa (FBT).’.
The aim of the study is to explore how clinicians experience delivering FBT for AN online as opposed to face-to-face. The study will explore how clinicians manage issues that may come up during their delivery of FBT for AN online, and what differences, if any, clinicians may experience while they deliver FBT for AN online as opposed to face-to-face.
Who can take part?
- Clinicians currently in a role delivering FBT.
- Clinicians who are mental health trained and registered with a professional body such as HCPC, BACP, NMC, AFT UKCP and more.
- Clinicians who have had experience in both online and face-to-face delivery of FBT.
Interviews will take place via the online platform Microsoft Teams at an agreed date and time. Interviews will be audio recorded and later transcribed. They will last approximately one to one and a half hours. Interviews will be confidential, and your identity will be protected. You will be free to withdraw from participation at any time if you so wish.
