PhD researcher, Orla McGovern (School of Psychology in Dublin City University), is exploring ways in which TikTok can be optimized as a platform to support youth mental health help-seeking. As part of this project, Orla is currently recruiting young people in Ireland aged 13-17 to join a TikTok advisory group (TAG) to advise on the design of projects within this PhD in order to ensure they are appropriate and responsive to the needs of young people.
As part of TAG, volunteers will attend meetings on Zoom (approx. 8 meetings a year) to offer their feedback/insights into various aspects of project design (e.g., recruitment materials, interview questions, and results interpretation). To express an interest see here.
